Unfortunately for the Raiders, that goal came too early, as the Palo Duro Dons took away what looked to be a sure Randall win with a tying goal that came with just 50 seconds left in regulation and scored three minutes into overtime in a 2-1 win that ended Randall’s season.

Canyon High School Eagle Baseball

The Canyon Eagles played a game against the Caprock Longhorns. Despite the early run, the Canyon offense took some time to get going at the plate.
“We got off to a slow start, but it was good to come back and good to be 2-0,” Eagle coach John Doan said. “It’s hard because we want to start fast, but baseball is a patient game and good things are going to happen.”

The Lady Eagle Softball team played the Lady Longhorns from Caprock. the season and 2-0 in district, put up a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning as Kaylee Crozier reached on an error and scored on a wild pitch and Sabrae Precure singled before scoring on a hit by Ashley Nolan with two outs.

The Lady Raiders played the Lady Demmonettes from Dumas. Randall took control of Wednesday’s game early, sending nine batters to the plate and scoring five runs in the second inning.
